The most direct answer is that you reuse them for the same original use, bakery bags for bread, grocery bags for fruits and vegetables, larger shopping bags for carrying different items, and so on. You can also bring them back to the local producers’ market: they will reuse them when they prepare your orders. The market I go to has organised a drop-off corner where you can bring back any sustainable bag or container (including glass jars and egg boxes) for reuse. I have banned plastic garbage bags from my bathroom and powder rooms areas. I reuse paper bags, often those in a worse shape, for the little garbage collectors. Any more tips in your side?
